Ludhiana/ Chandigarh: Jagdish Gagneja, a state level leader of Hindutva outfit Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), reportedly died at DMC hospital on Thursday (Sept. 22). It may be recalled that Jagdish Gagneja was shot at in Jalandhar by unidentified gunmen on August 06 and he was being treated at DMC hospital Ludhiana where he condition had remained critical.

After the Jalandhar police had arrested some Shiv Sena leaders on production warrants from Ludhiana jail in relation to attack on Jagdish Gagneja but it could not crack the case.

The state government had announced to handover this case to the CBI maintaining that there was foreign hand behind the attack.
