Chandigarh: Chandigarh police and students hurled stones at each other in Punjab University campus today after a clash broke-out between the two sides this afternoon.

As per media reports the students were adamant on entering into the Vice Chancellor’s office but the police did not allow them to enter the office building. As the police used force and lathi-charged against the students, latter started hurling stones at police.

The police used water-canon, lathi-charge and even hurled stones on students.
Notably various students organizations are protesting against hike in the fees. They are calling for complete rollback of the hike in fees.
