Reliance To Provide Free WiFi in Punjab Schools & Colleges: says Punjab Govt.

Chandigarh: As per a press release by the Punjab Government, the Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Chairman & MD Mukesh Ambani on Tuesday promised a slew of investment initiatives for the development of Punjab across a wide spectrum of sectors, including free WiFi to government educational and health institutions, employment for youth, and training of sportspersons for the forthcoming Tokyo Olympics.

As per the release Mukesh Ambani extended these offerings to the state government during a meeting with a Punjab government delegation.

The delegation, led by Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal and Irrigation & Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh, held a series of meetings on Tuesday afternoon with top industry leaders, including Mukesh. Ambani, Hinduja Group Director Shom Ashok Hinduja, and Larsen & Tourbo (L&T) Director & Executive Vice President (Power and Heavy Engg. & Defence) Shailendra N. Roy.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh could not attend these meetings, scheduled for late afternoon, as he was indisposed because of the relapse of his foot injury, according to Media Advisor to CM, Raveen Thukral.
