Canadian MP Raj Grewal Condemns June 1984 Indian Army’s Attack On Darbar Sahib in Canadian Parliament [Video]

Ottawa: On the eve of the 33rd anniversary of the Indian government attack on the Darbar Sahib complex, a Sikh MP from Brampton East Raj Grewal while  addressing the  Canadian parliament condemned the heinous crime committed against the Sikhs.

33 years ago, the Sikh community changed forever. In a deliberate attack ordered by the Indian government, the Indian Army stormed the Darbar Sahib complex, better known in the western world as the Golden temple. Innocent men, women and children lost their lives, the temple was decimated, the Sikh reference library was burned down, and the Sikh community was changed forever. We continue our call for justice for the survivors and an explanation for why and how Sikhs were targeted by those elected to provide for and protect them.
