Amritsar: While referring to the arrest of 22 Sikh youth by Capt. Amarinder led Punjab government in first 80 days of its tenure Congress MP Ravneet Bittu said that the government will strictly deal with such elements. He was talking to media persons in Amritsar after visiting the Darbar Sahib.

Congress MP alleged that those arrested were getting support from foreign counties. He said that the Punjab government was committed to keep check on any sort of disturbing activities. He alleged that those connected with “2020 Referendum” were supporting those arrested by the police in Punjab.
He also criticised the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and said that the SAD (Badal) was staging political drama against the state government. He said that instead of evaluating the three years functioning of BJP led NDA government at Centre, the SAD (Badal) was raising questions on the functioning of the Congress government in the state. He said that the upcoming state budget will speak for the government’s functioning.
