BC, Canada: SikhRI is hosting it’s 15th Annual Leadership Development Program, Sidak, from July 23 – August 5 this year at the Khalsa Centre in Miracle Valley, BC.
A release by SikhRI states that “Sidak is a distinctive leadership development program for young adults seeking to increase their commitment towards Sikhi. This two-week intensive immersion into Sikh culture, language, values, and community is held annually in the summer at the Khalsa Centre in British Columbia”.
Sidak consists of three different programs that run simultaneously for two weeks:
- Gurbani 101: Introduction to Guru Granth Sahib
- Sikhi 101: Introduction to Sikh History & Theology
- Sikhi 201: Religion & Revolution
“The Sikh Research Institute is looking for participants who have the desire and enthusiasm to learn more about Sikhi and are serious in developing their understanding of the faith. We look for participants who are looking to strengthen their leadership skills and also those looking to make an impact in their communities”, reads the statement.
