SGPC to Install Sikh Genocide 1984 Paintings in Central Sikh Museum

Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) today decided to install paintings depicting events of Sikh Genocide 1984 in Central Sikh Museum. The decision was announced after a meeting of the SGPC’s executive committee in Patiala.

Informing about the decisions taken during the meeting, SGPC chief Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that Sikhs were subjected to genocidal violence during November 1984 in various parts of the Indian subcontinent, including Delhi, Kanpur and Bokaro.

Prof. Badungar said that the SGPC’s executive committee has decided to install ‘paintings exposing conspiracy behind the Sikh Genocide 1984’ in the Central Sikh Museum located in Darbar Shaib complex. He said that the SGPC shall get such paintings prepared by able artists.

He said that the committee has also approved a proposal to collect and compile the facts related to Sikh genocide 1984 which would be published in book form. He said that a fact collection and analysis committee is formed to take up the task.
