Speaking during Antim Ardas Samagam held in the memory of journalist S. Dalbir Singh at Village Ganna, near Phillaur on February 23, 2020 Sikh political analyst and author Bhai Ajmer Singh said that S. Dalbir Singh was a close confident of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and he was a key witness of Sikh history of Dharam Yudh Morcha. He said that S. Dalbir Singh played an important role during the initial phase of Sikh struggle after Indian Army’s attack on Dabar Sahib in June 1984 in which Sant Jarnail Singh had attained martyrdom.
Bhai Ajmer Singh said that in the word of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, June 1984 attack has laid foundation of Khalistan and the realisation of Sovereignty of the Khalsa, would bring freedom for Sikhs and other sections and nationalities oppressed by Biparvadi Delhi Samraaj.
