Chandigarh: Former leaders of ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Deepinder Dhillon and Harinder Mann (alias Harry Mann) joined the Congress party today. Duo were expelled from the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) amidst the reports of their resignation from the SAD (Badal) yesterday.
Both Dhillon and Mann were re-inducted to the Congress party in the presence of Punjab Congress chief Capt. Amarinder Singh during a press conference at Chandigarh today.
As per media reports Deepinder Dhillon is eyeing on Congress ticket from Dera Bassi while former Punjab information commissioner Harry Mann is willing for party ticket from Samana in upcoming 2017 assembly polls.
Earlier People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Capt. Amarinder Singh had joined the Congress party in January. There are reports that Punjabi singer and former AAP leader Balkar Sidhu will be joining the Congress party tomorrow.
