Agriculture and Environment Center has announced to hold Water Awareness March (Jal Chetna Yatra) in Punjab from 7 June 2021. This campaign aims at encouraging farmers and capable sections of the society such as Non-Resident Punjabis and employees, who are not dependent on agriculture and lend their lands for farming to take initiatives to reduce area under paddy cultivation. Jal Chetna Yatra is an initiative to meet experts and farmers who have knowledge and experience in farming methods using which ground water could be saved.
